Mirzaabad district stage of “Woman-entrepreneur” competition, held by UzLiDeP Women's Wing, took place.

More than twenty women entrepreneurs, artisans, farmers from citizens’ assemblies of Khaqiqat, Yangi ovul, Toshkent, Bogiston, Yangi Yul took part in the competition. Based on the Competition Regulations, the jury members became familiar with the activities of participants.

The attention of the jury was attracted by the activities of the head of the farm “Mahmud qizi Maftuna orzusi” Maftuna Mamajonova, designer Rano Boymirzayeva, seamstress Ugiloy Bekmirzayeva and other participants of the competition.

A resident of the citizens assembly of the district makhalla “Yangiobod” Ozoda Yulbarsova began her activity last year on the basis of a loan from Syrdarya regional branch of Turonbank in the amount of 23 million UZS. In a short time, the bread and bread products of the shop created by her found a buyer. The workshop for the production of macaroni employs 5 people, and the demand on the markets of the city of Gulistan increases for 4 types of products of this workshop.

Special attention was paid to the activities and achievements of the head of the farm “Mahmud qizi Maftuna orzusi” Maftuna Mamajonova.

 - I started business activity at my own expense, and developed at the expense of a bank loan in the amount of 10 million UZS. In 2017, I started to fatten goats, for this I bought 20 goats. For two and a half years, in the farm there were 235 goats. At the same time, on 1 hectare I started growing pomegranate trees, on 3 hectares of clover fields I built a yard for goats. On account of income, I opened a sewing workshop, employing ten women.

Maftuna also organized a Kurt harvesting workshop, in which 4 villagers work. I built a small greenhouse on 1.5 hectare, it employs 3 people. And recently purchased 20 ostriches and the number of employees increased by four people.

Maftuna Mamajonova is recognized as the winner of the district stage of the “Woman-entrepreneur” review competition, she will take part in the regional stage of the competition.

The second place at the competition was taken by Rano Baymuratova, the third by Nilufar Bozorboyeva.

Winners were awarded with diplomas and memorable gifts of the district Kengash of UzLiDeP.
