Spiritual and enlightenment events are held in all territories of the country by the Department for Working with Women of the Executive Committee of the Political Council of UzLiDeP on the motto “We are all responsible for ensuring the guarantees of the rights of the child!”.

A conversation was held at Tashkent Medical Academic Lyceum on the essence and significance of the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures to further strengthen the guarantees of the rights of the child” of April 22, 2019.

During the conversation, it was noted that in the resolution, the development of a draft law is envisaged “On social protection of orphans and children left without parental care”, envisaging the socio-legal status of orphans and children left without parental care, as well as their protection from harassment and violence.

12 million 200 thousand children under the age of 18 live in Uzbekistan. Currently, there is no specialized institution in the country for the protection of their rights and interests. In this regard, it is considered important to introduce the post of Deputy Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman) – the Authorized Person for Children's Rights.

During the event, the work on protecting motherhood and childhood and the tasks of UzLiDeP in this direction was noted. UzLiDeP takes initiatives both to work for attracting all segments of the population to entrepreneurship, and to work for protecting motherhood and childhood. Positive results are given by the activities carried out within the framework of projects “Healthy Family – Strong Family”, “Wealthy Family” to prevent early marriages, prepare girls for family life, promote healthy lifestyles among women.

The structures of the Women's Wing of all territorial kengashes of the party are striving to increase the efficiency of work in this direction.

Participants of the event, noting that full provision of guarantees of the rights of the child will serve the interests of society, outlined an action plan on promoting the essence and significance of the presidential resolution even in the most remote areas and ensure the execution of the tasks outlined in the document. The action plan will be carried out jointly with all official organizations.
