On the initiative of the Women's Wing of Syrdarya regional kengash of UzLiDeP, a master class was organized at LLC Mirzaobod Universal Trade Cluster.

A group of farmers, women activists and women who want to do business from Mirzaabad district took part in a master class on “Homesteads – a source of income”.

The participants visited a 50-hectare greenhouse built using Korean technology. Farm’s engineer Usmon Kurtasmanov informed about the activities of the greenhouse and the crops grown.

– We grow Dutch varieties of high-yielding tomatoes and cucumbers, – said Usmon Kurtasmanov. – The whole process is fully automated. Modern equipment produced by the Republic of Korea by means of in-depth analysis determines the required level of temperature, water, fertilizing, irrigation with mineral-rich water is carried out by the method of drip irrigation.

Hydroponics is a method that allows to engage in farming without soil, only with the help of water enriched with additional nutrients. This method is widely used in Europe. In the land of dawn, all vegetables and melons and gourds are grown using enriched water.

The main work at the company began in September 2018. First, in cooperation with the South Korean company Doori Engineering, using the hydroponic-substrate method based on an innovative technology, 22 thousand tomato seedlings were grown on one hectare. When planting, the seeds are placed on the substrate – dried coconut stalks, all the fertilizers necessary for the development of seedlings are injected with a syringe. Moisturizing technology is installed in the greenhouse. 2 harvests are grown in a year in the greenhouse. Currently, cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers and eggplants are growing on 31 hectares. 400 women are working in the greenhouse. Products are supplied to all territories of the country.

High quality of grown products  pleases everyone. The participants of the event noted the decent work of employees who ensure year-round supply of vegetables to the population.
