Under discussion in Surkhandarya

An important political process, elections to the lower chamber of parliament, regional, district and city councils of people’s deputies will take place this year. For a worthy participation in the elections, serious and responsible preparation for this process is required. In this regard, in the process of preparing for the elections, Surkhandarya regional Kengash of UzLiDeP proceeded to the analysis of the work carried out over 5 years, shortcomings made and preparation of new plans.

An agreement was reached on this at the meeting of Surkhandarya regional kengash of UzLiDeP and the deputy group of UzLiDeP in Surkhandarya regional kengash of people’s deputies. Amendments and additions introduced to the UzLiDeP program and the draft Pre-Election Program were discussed.

“In his speech at the twentieth plenary meeting of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the head of the state raised a number of issues related to our activities”, said Alisher Ruziyev, Chairman of Surkhandarya regional kengash of UzLiDeP. “In particular, the lack of attention paid to attracting educated, enterprising women to political parties and raising their social and political activity was criticized. It cannot be said that the activity of the Women’s Wing of UzLiDeP meets the requirements of the times. Slowness was also shown in bringing to the public of legal documents on development of entrepreneurship and farming, in explanatory work among small business representatives. This year, district kengashes, Youth Wing, the primary organizations of the party should increase activity in their activities.

Participants of the meeting expressed their opinions and proposals on the updated Program and the draft Pre-election program.

“Farmers cannot work freely due to intervention of local authorities in their activities”, said the head of Surkhandarya regional branch of Yuksalish national movement, deputy Alisher Norkobilov. “They do not need to be taught how to sow and how to carry out agrotechnical activities. The farmer knows all this and understands the land better than others. If he is guided by his own experience and rules, he will have a rich harvest. This is the first proposal. Secondly, we have a lot of active youth. They are able to express their own opinion regarding the ongoing political process. But young people need to be heard. And for this, young people need to create a platform from which they can say their own word.

Many people were attracted by the proposals of the deputy chairman of Denau district Kengash of UzLiDeP for ideological and outreach work Olimjon Obidjonov, on creation of investment funds, which, in addition to commercial banks, will provide loans to entrepreneurs, evaluating mainly the quality brand of products at “Tashabbus” competitions, as well as that the party is not limited to providing only initial assistance to entrepreneurs, should pay attention to eliminating obstacles encountered in their future activities.

At the meeting, the need for introducing amendments to the laws for taking legal measures against officials and responsible persons of enterprises and organizations that do not respond to deputy inquiries, was also noted.
