On April 27, a meeting was held with participation of members of the Executive Committee of the Political Council of UzLiDeP, territorial and district (city) party organizations and deputy groups of the party in district (city) councils of people’s deputies via videoconference.

At the meeting, views were exchanged on the importance of the “Generosity and Support” Nationwide Movement established at the initiative of the Head of the state in socio-economic life and the party’s next tasks were outlined.

It was noted that this initiative demonstrates the unity of people, its power has taken a firm place in the pages of our new history. At the same time, the movement was described as a practical action, embodying the Uzbek mentality and the significance of the modernization process being carried out.

It was emphasized that UzLiDeP representatives perceived this action as an important step that has socio-political significance.

At the meeting, it was noted that participation of businessmen, the most active part of the party, in the “Generosity and Support” Nationwide Movement is more important than ever. Gratitude was expressed to charitable entrepreneurs.

During the online dialogue, it was noted that from the beginning of the pandemic to the present day, territorial party organizations, deputies of local councils, all the lower levels of the party, activists provided charitable assistance to 123,225 families in the amount of 19 billion UZS.

At the videoconference, the work to be performed by the party’s deputy corps was also outlined.

At the same time, opinions were expressed at the meeting on a more detailed explanation of the deputy ethics and rules to deputies of local councils. For, some unpleasant cases involving deputies of local councils during the quarantine period call for preventing their repetition and reviewing work in this direction.

Following the meeting, the need was noted for maintaining patience during these days and to be patient about the situation.
