Constitutional reforms: Proposals to strengthen guarantees for the inviolability of private property

In connection with the introduction of amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in cooperation of Samarkand Regional Council of UzLiDeP and Samarkand State University, a roundtable discussion was organized on “Constitutional reforms: Openness, publicity and transparency”, which was attended by senior officials, members of the working group of Samarkand Regional Council of UzLiDeP, deputies of local councils, a group of professors and teachers, university students, as well as media representatives.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Council of UzLiDeP – head of the office Ilhom Botirov addressed the event.

Speakers noted the importance of explaining the process of constitutional reforms to the general population, as well as the opinions and proposals of every citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including experienced professors, teachers and students, when introducing amendments and additions to the country’s Basic Law.

Professor of Samarkand State University, deputy of the Regional Council Bakhtiyor Khujayorov explained to the students the importance of constitutional reforms and the main tasks of the Constitutional Commission.

The head of the farm Navobod Nasli Parranda of Samarkand region, the Chairman of Samarkand Regional Council of UzLiDeP Veterans, the deputy of the Regional Council Khaydar Urakov expressed his opinion on the proposals for the mandatory definition in the law of conditions for entrepreneurs and investors, that is, benefits and preferences and strengthening guarantees for the inviolability of private property.

Members of the working group, professors and teachers noted the relevance and validity of most of the proposals of young people and expressed their gratitude to them for their active participation in the discussion of the issue.

The organizers of the event answered the questions of the participants of the roundtable discussion. The working group summarized the voiced proposals.
