UzLiDeP leaders: scientists, students should take an active part in improving the Constitution

For two weeks, territorial and local organizations, lower levels, deputy associations of the party have been holding events on the importance and need to improve the Constitution of Uzbekistan, receiving and summarizing proposals for reforming the Basic Law.

So far, more than 400 talks on this relevant theme have been held in the field. More than 20 thousand representatives of the electorate took part in the events, 512 proposals were made.

It is noteworthy that the leader of UzLiDeP directly manages this important process, takes part in all events and explains the significance of constitutional reforms.

Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Political Council of UzLiDeP Aktam Khaitov also took part in the event held at Termez State University. Professors, teachers, students of the university took part in the conversation. Mr. Khaitov explained in detail the factors that caused the need to reform the Basic Law, the significance and advantages of introducing amendments and additions to the Constitution. He noted the formation of the Constitutional Commission for the introduction of amendments and additions to the Constitution of Uzbekistan, the active participation in these processes of UzLiDeP, which took the initiative to reform the Basic Law. He stressed that the slogan “In the name of human dignity” is the main idea of ​​the reform of the Basic Law. He also noted the need for active participation of scientists and students in the process of reforming the Constitution.

Several proposals were made at the event. In particular, a proposal was made to guarantee the continuity of education in any education institution for gifted young people who are in a difficult financial situation. The participants of the event supported this proposal.
