The region has excellent fertile soil. An ordinary farmer who knows his business and loves the land becomes an entrepreneur. Andijan residents understand that homestead lands are a source of income. The population has accumulated rich experience of getting three crops a year on this fertile land. And this experience should be popularized.
Within the framework of the project “Exemplary homestead landowner”, Andijan Regional Council of UzLiDeP, to popularize the experience of using homestead land, organized a dialogue “Homestead land – a source of income” in the house of a resident of Devatagi mahalla in Asaka district, Madinakhon Ibragimova.
The party activists examined the greenhouse and talked to the workers. They noted that it is necessary to expand the network of greenhouses, which play an important role in ensuring the well-being of the population.
“We started our activity in 2015, we had only 1 greenhouse. Our children helped us. Having expanded the activities, they attracted women and youth from the mahalla. Now we have 4 greenhouses on 12 acres. After harvesting tomatoes, cucumbers were planted. We also grow other vegetables and herbs”, M. Ibragimova said.
“I’m a housewife. At the suggestion of Mrs. Madina, I am working in a greenhouse. Work is paid daily. I spend this money on my children”, said Odina Ashurova.
Definitely, a culture of work on personal plots is developing in the district, families’ incomes are increasing. Because the residents of the district know how to effectively use household land.
