Gulistan State University hosted a meeting to inform the youth about the amendments and additions to the Constitution.
The event, organized by Syrdarya regional and Gulistan city councils of UzLiDeP, was attended by representatives of the regional Department of Justice, the Ombudsman for Human Rights, deputies of the local council of peoples deputies, party activists, professors, teachers and university students.
Professor of the University R. Makhmudov led the meeting under the motto “Referendum – 2023. Vote for the future!”. Reports were made by the head of the Regional Council of UzLiDeP Sh. Bozorboyeva, the Deputy Head of the department of Justice S. Togayev and the Ombudsman for Human Rights in the region Sh. Alimov.
“Enshrining in the Article 51 of the draft Constitutional law the norm “Citizens have the right to receive higher education on a competitive basis at the expense of the state” will contribute to training qualified specialists who will contribute to the development of the country”, UzLiDeP activist, youth leader Fakhriddin Zikriyayev said.
At the event, which was held in the spirit of openness, it was obvious that the students are seriously studying the essence and significance of the draft law and call on their peers to actively participate in the upcoming April 30 referendum.
