UzLiDeP representatives are carrying out large-scale work to explain the amendments being introduced to the Main Guarantor of Freedom

The results of the large-scale reforms being carried out in the country today are manifested in every corner of our region. Representatives of all spheres are making a worthy contribution to the renovations carried out under the leadership of the Head of state.

In the recreation area “Buyuk Maskan” of Markhamat district, an open-air event was held to explain the essence and significance of the draft constitutional law “On the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, which was attended by 1,400 citizens.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Political Council of UzLiDeP Aktam Khaitov, deputies of the lower house of parliament and the local Council of People’s Deputies, representatives of the general public.

Opening the event, the head of the party noted that steps towards the highest goal – building New Uzbekistan – certainly require updating the Basic Law. In the new edition of the document, the main criterion is the principle of Uzbekistan – a welfare state. When drafting the Constitution, the proposals and desires of the people were taken into account, the document will be adopted through a referendum.

“The updated Basic Law determines that pensions, benefits, and other types of social assistance cannot be lower than the officially established minimum consumer spending”, said Uktam Okhunov, Chairman of the Public Council of Elders. “This innovation expands the scale of attention and care for the elderly, ensures their satisfaction with life. Therefore, I call on everyone to take an active part in the forthcoming April 30 referendum and express their will”.

This norm, which reflects changes in the process of economic reforms in the Basic Law, indicates that ensuring the interests of the person comes to the fore.

This and other innovations were discussed in detail at an event held in the city of Andijan under the leadership of the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Political Council of UzLiDeP Aktam Khaitov with the participation of employees of the limited liability company Samoinurakfa LTD.

The party leader informed the participants of the event about the definition in the draft Constitution of the obligations of the state to develop market relations, ensure a favorable investment and business environment, conditions for fair competition, guarantee the secrecy of bank deposits and settlements.

The event was held in a lively spirit. Following the event, the deputies called on the participants not to remain indifferent to the historical law that determines the fate and future of the people and to vote on April 30 in a referendum for the updated Constitution.
