A regular conference of the Samarkand City Council of UzLiDeP was held. It was attended by delegates elected from all the lower levels of the party.

The participants discussed the issues of electing delegates to the XI Party Congress and the regional conference from the Samarkand City Party Organization, as well as the party’s participation in the early elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

There are 154 primary party organizations in Samarkand City Council, with over 12,800 members. In these party strongholds, general meetings were held on the organized conduction of the presidential elections and the selection of delegates to the city conference.

As noted, organizational work is being carried out in Uzbekistan to prepare for the presidential elections.

Speakers at the conference noted the progress of reforms being carried out in all spheres of society and the country, in particular, work on the liberalization of entrepreneurial activity, taking into account the requirements of modern market relations, simplifying the procedure for licensing and issuing permits, privatizing enterprises with the participation of the state, limiting state intervention in the economy by support for the competition.

At the same time, it was emphasized that creating a favorable investment and business environment made it possible to increase the number of entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan to 2 million, and, accordingly, the number of people employed in business entities increased several times.

It was noted that the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan is a political force that has assumed responsibility for the success of truly popular life reforms in the country.

After active controversy and discussions during the conference of the Samarkand City Council, delegates were elected to the meeting of the regional party organization.
