We are responsible for the consistent implementation of reforms

The President of our country at the solemn meeting on the occasion of the Day of Agricultural Workers identified the most important tasks facing farmers. He stressed that in the country only 15 percent of cultivated fruits and vegetables are processed in our country, and only 8 percent are exported. These figures do not correspond to the potential of Uzbekistan. Frankly, due to the fact that most of the horticultural products cultivated in our region are not being processed, there are losses. We use a refrigerator with a capacity of 300 tons for storing fruits. There are jobs for 10 boys and girls. Currently, we are installing another refrigerating chamber with a capacity of 200 tons. In the future, we plan to use modern technology to dry fruits and provide jobs for 30 young people. In our country, the farmer's movement is developing, the land areas are passed to an experienced and enterprising farmers, which serves to increase the volume of production for each year. The development of farming in the country serves to ensure the continuity of national values and traditions, further sustainable advancement of the country's economy, most importantly, improving the living conditions of the population.

However, it should be noted that, in some places, land, household plots are not used efficiently. As the head of our state noted, in order to saturate the market, farmers should properly organize their work, carefully learn agricultural activities, and actively combat agricultural pests and various plant diseases.

It is gratifying that the mindset of the farmers is changing today, and they feel themselves as the landlord and owner of the land. Such changes show that agriculture is developing and raising the level and quality of life of the population.

Nasiba Nurova,

head of the farm "Eldorbek-Abrorjon Lukmonovich" of Kitab district
