“Let those terrible days be a thing of the past”

Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Political Council of the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businessmen – Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan B. Yakubov, Deputy Khokim of Navoi region F. Soliyev and others visited the veteran of the Second World War Barak Zaripov, living in the 38th house on Talabalar Street of the citizens’ assembly of Yangiaryk makhalla in Navoi city.

At 21, along with everyone Mr. Barak went to the front, bravely fought with the enemy on the battlefields, and today he lives surrounded by 8 children, 25 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Today he is 99 years old. I am immensely pleased with the attention paid by the President to war veterans.

– For me, battle life began in the vicinity of Kharkov. I spent 7 years on the battlefields, away from the homeland. Every minute decided – life or death. Fate gave me a long life. And here I live in other tranquil days, – said Mr. Barak.

Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Political Council of UzLiDeP Bakhtiyor Yakubov congratulated Mr.Barak on his forthcoming centenary anniversary, presented valuable gifts of the party.

Yes, we are indebted to the fathers and grandfathers who gave their best years to the struggle for peace. Their heroism will forever be stored in the memory of people.
