As previously reported, territorial workshops are held at places, the next of which was held in the city of Urgench.

The event was attended by party workers, deputies, chairmen of local PPO, their deputies, as well as media representatives.

The workshop participants became familiar with activities of Urgench city Kengash of UzLiDeP, the Center for Social Adaptation of Women of Khorezm region and the primary party organization operating at the center.

«The objectives of our center are the spiritual and social adaptation of women, the study of lifestyle, housewife’s worldview, material and moral support for women in difficult situations, cooperation with the party in matters of ensuring women's employment, their involvement in entrepreneurship through the provision of concessional loans», said member of the deputy group of UzLiDeP in Urgench city Kengash, head of the center Nigora Kushchanova. «Recently, 2 women were assisted in acquiring a sewing machine on the basis of a preferential loan, we continue this practical work».

Then the workshop participants became familiar with activities of the PPO of LLC «Khorazm Ipagi». The company, which employs 200 people, produces knitwear for men, women and children, scarves, aprons, sells products on the local market and exports to Russia and Ukraine.

«Last year, exports amounted to 190 thousand USD, this year they intend to increase this figure to 250 thousand USD, as well as to increase the number of workers and supporters of the party», said the PPO enterprise’s Chairman Sanobar Iskandarova. «It is pleasant that 101 employees of the enterprise are accepted into the party ranks».

At the final meeting of the one-day practical workshop, the head of the political education center of the executive committee of the political council Nasimjon Alimov, Chairman of the regional kengash of the party, deputy Shavkat Safarbayev called everyone to actively participate in the elections to be held this year, and expressed views on increasing activity of primary party organizations, expanding the ranks of party members, developing local political education of activists, jointly implementing state programs and five major initiatives.

At the workshop, the participants divided into 4 groups, conducted practical exercises. Issues of increasing the authority of the party, widespread establishment of entrepreneurship in the country, youth employment, activities of deputies, shortcomings in these areas were discussed, suggestions were made to eliminate them.

Following the workshop, new members of the party were presented with membership cards, active and enterprising members of the PPO and the regional Kengash were expressed gratitude.

Other workshops held in Namangan also included awarding ceremonies of exemplary PPO.
