Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, head of UzLiDeP faction Aktam Khaitov, visiting enterprises, organizations, institutions of Surkhandarya region, holds meetings with voters.

The party leader met with youth. During a sincere and friendly conversation, A. Khaitov spoke about the issues noted in the Address of the President to the Oliy Majlis and the tasks for the future, clarified their significance in the life of society using life examples. Issues were raised about a number of shortcomings in the legislation, the need for conducting weddings without extra costs, the advantages of the digital economy, the need for improving the insurance market of Uzbekistan and reducing poverty by increasing the number of “exemplary homeowners.”

At the meeting, which took place at the Federation of Trade Union Organizations of the society, was attended by party deputies in Termez city and regional councils of people’s deputies, representatives of the Women’s Wing and the department for working with youth. Young representatives from the party’s members expressed their suggestions and talked about pending problems.

“Altinsay district specializes in growing vineyards and apple trees”, said Farkhod Rajabov, a student at Termez branch of Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami. “But not export-oriented apples are harvested in the district. These fruits are not subject to long storage. I have information that in Samarkand region, Turkish entrepreneurs grow “pink lady” apple trees, they do not sell fruits on the domestic market, but only export to European countries. We must breed this variety with apple trees grown in our region. To do this, we need schools for training in breeding and growing new varieties. We do not have such schools. The creation of such schools in the region is necessary”.

“I came here to study from the village of Vodil in Fergana region”, said student Sadokat Sharofiddinova. “In our village raspberries are grown, this gives income to many residents of the village. There are territories in Surkhandarya where the climate corresponds to the climate of our Vodil. For example, this is Baysun district. The population is interested in arranging the cultivation of this crop, which appears on the market seasonally and is in great demand”.

In response to these proposals, A. Khaitov said that with the assistance of the council of dehkan farms and homeowners, support will be provided in organizing schools for homeowners’ land, raspberry cultivators will be assisted, if necessary, in exchanging experiences with Vodil farmers and in matters obtaining loans and land allocation.

Students and teachers also expressed opinions about the lack of bus routes and stops in the city of Termez, the need for allocating quotas for admission to higher education institutions taking into account the needs of territories, monitoring by public organizations the number of unemployed youth and providing jobs for young people.
