A study of the course of spring field work is carried out with the aim of mitigating a possible economic crisis in the country in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, providing the population with necessary food products, increasing employment and incomes of the population through the active use of household land.

– Experts around the world believe that the coronavirus pandemic cannot but have an impact on the economy. In this regard, an important task at present is supplying people with food. To do this, owners of household lands should be actively involved together with farmers in this process. At the videoconference held on April 8, the President noted: “The earth feeds us” and outlined a number of tasks for development of the use of household lands. If all owners of personal land, feeling responsibility, will effectively use their personal land, we will overcome the problem that has arisen in connection with the pandemic without loss”, A. Khaitov said.

The Republican working group in Pastdargam district got acquainted with the work in the 5-hectare greenhouse of Gulotondoz farm, built based on Korean technology.

– A commercial bank took a loan of 400 thousand dollars for construction of a greenhouse in 2019. Last year, cucumbers were planted and raised, the income amounted to 2 billion UZS, – said the Head of the farm Jamshid Abdullayev. – Now spring tomatoes grow in the greenhouse. I think this will also give a good income. Due to the harvest of this year, we are planning to fully repay the loan.

The Head of the district LLC Yelkan Farkhod Kurbonov is engaged in rabbit farming. He started this work 3 years ago, using the opportunities provided to enterprises. He began with the purchase of thoroughbred rabbits imported from Italy. Currently, the farm contains 750 heads of rabbits. To increase the stock of this breed, the entrepreneur supplies rabbits to neighboring areas. At the meeting, members of the working group talked in detail with the entrepreneur, studied the existing problems.

Then members of the working group visited household lands of a resident of Pastdargam district, Azamat Abdurakhimov. On 5 acres of household land, Azamat Abdurakhimov built a greenhouse and grows tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers and other vegetables. According to him, the annual income of the greenhouse is 50-60 million UZS.
