Summary of the 2024 activities of “Women’s Wing”

The UzLiDeP “Women’s Wing” reviewed its 2024 activities and discussed the tasks to be implemented in the coming year.

The event was attended by deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, women deputies elected to local councils, vice-chairs for women’s issues in the party’s regional councils, heads of departments for studying women’s issues and supporting female entrepreneurs, as well as active members of the “Women’s Wing”. Participants joined via the ZOOM platform.

It was highlighted that, as part of the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy, the “Women’s Wing” organized 3,500 events throughout 2024, involving more than 260,000 women. In the 2024 Legislative Chamber elections, 24 out of 64 deputies (38%) elected from UzLiDeP were women. Additionally, 473 out of 1,875 deputies in local councils were women, including 68 representatives in regional and Tashkent city councils and 405 in district (city) councils.

Last year, the “Women’s Wing” successfully implemented nearly 20 projects, including “Bunyodkor Ayollar” (Creative Women), “Sog‘lom Oila – Mustahkam Oila” (Healthy Family – Strong Family), “Farovon Oila” (Prosperous Family), “Namunali Tomorqachi Ayol – Farovonlik Bunyodkori" (Exemplary Female Farmer – Creator of Prosperity), “Bir Deputat – Yuz Ayolga Ko‘makchi!” (One Deputy – Support for One Hundred Women), “Ishbilarmon Ayol” (Businesswoman) competition, “O‘zLiDeP Ayollari – Yangi O‘zbekiston Bunyodkori!” (UzLiDeP Women – Builders of New Uzbekistan).

At the meeting, the key priorities for 2025 were also outlined. A significant focus will be collaborating with female deputies elected to the Oliy Majlis Legislative Chamber to fulfill the social goals and 500 tasks in the party’s election program.

Additionally, participants discussed the Presidential Decree draft on implementing the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy under the Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy. They shared opinions and suggestions on the public discussion of this initiative.

The “Women’s Wing” was encouraged to actively participate in refining the state program by contributing valuable recommendations for its improvement.
