A roundtable discussion dedicated to the protection of pastures and their rational use took place

The Center for Support of Entrepreneurship and Farming and the Executive Committee of UzLidep Political Council hosted a roundtable discussion on the protection of pastures and their rational use in Uzbekistan.

The event was attended by deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Committee for the Veterinary Medicine and Livestock Development, the Council of Farmers, Dehkan Farms, and Owners of Household Lands of Uzbekistan, leaders of livestock farms, and others.

At the roundtable discussion, issues concerning protecting existing pastures within the country, organizing their effective and rational use, advancing pastoral farming to a new level of development, introducing a streamlined and efficient management system in the sector, and further improving the performance of livestock farms were discussed. In addition, the responsibilities stipulated in the President’s order on “Measures for the introduction of modern mechanisms for protecting pastures and their rational use” were addressed.

At the meeting, it was emphasized that organizing the effective and rational use of pasture lands and establishing mutual cooperation with state and farm management bodies, local government authorities, and entrepreneurial entities in livestock farming is crucial for the sector’s development. Opinions were also heard on the need to regularly discuss issues related to the livestock farming sector’s growth and collaboratively resolve the existing challenges.
