The 17th meeting of the Political Council of UzLiDeP takes place

On July 27 this year, the 17th meeting of the Political Council of the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businesspeople – the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan was held. It was attended by members of the Political Council, territorial party organizations, representatives of deputy groups in local councils, and party activists.

The participants discussed the fact that the Central Election Commission announced the start of elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and regional, district, and city councils of people’s deputies and issues related to the party’s participation in this political process were discussed in detail.

The upcoming elections are a very important political process. They will take place for the first time after the renewed Constitution enters into force.

An important rule established in the Constitution is that elections are the main factor ensuring the democratic development of the state, and the people, who are the only source of power, exercise this authority through elections.

UzLiDeP approaches the elections based on their essential political significance for the country’s and people’s future.

Members of the Political Council, fully aware of their responsibility, unanimously decided that UzLiDeP must actively participate in the upcoming elections.

In the coming days, UzLiDeP will submit an Appeal to the Central Electoral Commission reflecting the Political Council’s decision on the party’s participation in the elections and will begin collecting signatures from voters.

Based on this, it was determined that UzLiDeP will participate in the 2024 parliamentary elections with a new strategy.

It was emphasized that within the framework of the strategy, which provides for a completely new approach to the elections, UzLiDeP intends to get even closer to the people, visit more than 1 million households through door-to-door canvassing, convey the party’s ideas to each voter, and get their opinions and suggestions. It was noted that before developing its election program, the party should try to carefully study the problems, delve into the essence of the issues that concern our people, organize comprehensive public hearings, and work together with experts to solve problems.

At the meeting, specific tasks were defined for the creation of an election headquarters. This headquarters will carefully coordinate all issues related to the party’s participation in the elections and attract specialists with deep knowledge of modern election technologies and propaganda, along with party activists.

At the same time, instructions were given to convene the party’s First Congress and hold conferences of territorial party organizations on this subject.

Following the meeting, appropriate decisions were made on all issues considered.
