In Uzbekistan, attention is being paid at the state level to the issue of comprehensive support of young people and the development of their talents.

In this regard, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis is conducting direct dialogues with young people, paying attention to their education, professional acquisition, and finding their place in society.On the other hand, to intensify these activities in the Year of Support for Youth and Business, the senators of the Executive Committee of the Political Council of UzLiDeP and the talented young people of the Department for Working with Youth and Business Structures of Tashkent City Council of UzLiDeP in the upper chamber of the parliament held a meeting as part of the project “The place of youth in Parliament”.

During the dialogue, the participants discussed the conditions for young people to increase their legal culture and socio-political activity, protect their interests, fully demonstrate their intellectual potential, and occupy a worthy place in society. At the meeting, young people were given detailed information about the processes of discussing, adopting, and implementing laws by the Senate.

This increased students’ theoretical knowledge of parliamentary activities and ensured education harmony with direct practice. At the same time, the role of the next generation in adopting laws was emphasized, particularly the importance of their proposals for the adopted laws. It was noted that strengthening the sense of involvement in the country’s development is necessary.

During the meeting, it was noted that the priorities of the parliament’s activities are adopting current laws, ensuring the implementation of state programs, conducting parliamentary control, and increasing the accountability of executive bodies and officials to the people. At the event, which was an open dialogue, young people sent their questions to the senators and received detailed answers. They also got acquainted with the working process of the Senate committees and their offices.
