A meeting of the UzLiDeP deputy group in the Kattakurgan District Council of People’s Deputies was held. At the meeting, the report of Farrukh Talibov, the Agrobank Kattakurgan district branch manager, was heard.

Information was given on the work carried out in the Agrobank of Kattakurgan district to accelerate reforms in the banking system, increase the size of the banking services market, and develop competition in the field, as determined by the 50th goal of the “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy.

In accordance with the President’s decision, the bank branch plans to allocate 40,944.0 million UZS of preferential loans in 2023 to finance projects within the framework of family entrepreneurship development programs in the district.

In 2023, 38,022.7 million UZS of preferential loans were allocated to 1,560 projects in this direction. In the process of public control over the effective use of allocated preferential loans and targeted spending of loan funds as part of state programs for the development of family entrepreneurship, in March-April 2023, preferential loans of 1,201.7 million UZS allocated to 53 projects out of 9,215.3 billion UZS for 467 projects, were found to have been used without purpose.

Based on these requirements, the district prosecutor’s office was contacted to ask for practical help in early loan repayment in cases of inefficient and purposeless loan use. At the meeting, proposals were made to prevent future misuse of preferential loans allocated by industry officials and improve project efficiency.

In particular, within the framework of Family Entrepreneurship programs, based on the recommendation letter and document of the deputy hokim attached to the mahalla, proposals were put forward to establish a permanent working group consisting of center employees, district deputies, hokim’s assistants, and managers of commercial banks and to establish strict public control to continuously discuss the effective use of projects financed by commercial banks in the district and city councils of People’s Deputies and to study the purposefulness of the loans allocated under the Family Entrepreneurship Support Centers in the districts.
