The mahalla selection stage of the “Businesswoman-2024” contest, held by the “Women’s Wing” of UzLiDeP, is being organized with a high level of organization. Entrepreneurs, farmers, housewives, and artisans working in more than 20 neighborhoods took part in the mahalla stage of the contest in Yakkabog district.

At first, the participants presented an exhibition of their products. Schoolgirls studying in colleges and schools of the district also visited the exhibition and learned about the activities and experiences of businesswomen. Deputies and party activists gave detailed information to the conference participants about the results of reforms in support of women’s entrepreneurship.

Hamida Meyliquziyeva has been organizing the “Rizo Ota” farm for 14 years and has been producing abundant cotton and grain crops. The garden has just been harvested, and vegetables are grown among the rows of trees. Twenty hectares of grain lawns are being irrigated using sprinkler irrigation equipment. The farmer employs twenty of her neighbors on her farm. Samoq is a village in the highlands, where doing business requires much effort. Munisa Nafisova is one of the women who is not afraid of difficulties.

After opening the “Munis” sewing workshop and starting to provide services to their fellow villagers, they stopped visiting the tailors in Yakkabog fortress, which is 30 km away. Every three months, she teaches 20 students the secrets of embroidery, needlework, and handicrafts and helps to ensure self-employment. Yayra Eshova from Serob learned to make flowers from soap. There are many buyers for these products, which are spreading good fragrances. She managed to sell all her products at the event itself.

Madina Ziyoyeva lives in the village of Ishkent. She established a sewing shop in this place, 58 kilometers from the district center. Nineteen young girls are studying at the “Weaving School”. There are 60 poultry in their household, and every year, thirty families raise chicks and sell them to their fellow villagers. National dolls made from cloth by Ezoza Rayhonova from Aygirkul, women’s handbags sewn by Gulchekhra Nazarova, diadems and pearl patterns made by Feruza Meyliyeva, a resident of Qasnoqli village, aroused great interest among the participants.

Dilfuza Kholkhujayeva weaves carpets and tufted rugs from wool and sells them to foreign businesspeople. Businesspeople from Kazakhstan bought 100 of these rugs, priced at 600,000 UZS per piece. Woolen products are delivered to her by cattle breeders. At the event, the initiative of Munisa Kuchkarova from Olakuylak, who takes care of 2 boxes of silkworms every year and harvests more than 200 kg of cocoons, was also recognized.
