More than 3,000 women entrepreneurs take part in the Khorezm stage of the Businesswoman competition

The regional-republican stage of the Businesswoman 2026 competition took place in Khorezm as part of the nationwide “Together with the People” program.

Dedicated to Uzbekistan’s 35th anniversary of independence, the competition was held across more than 500 mahallas and business entities in the region and attracted over 3,054 women entrepreneurs. After the preliminary rounds, 13 of the most promising participants advanced to the regional stage to showcase their potential. In selecting the winners, the jury focused on criteria such as job creation, developing local production, increasing export capacity, and introducing effective agricultural solutions.

Based on the final results, first place went to Lola Mirzayeva, head of Khiva Plaza LLC in Khiva, second place to Oychehra Tokhirova, head of the Shovot-Qumtepa farm, and third place to Dilafruz Bekjanova, head of Marjona Textile LLC. Five other women entrepreneurs were also recognized in special categories.

The Khiva Plaza Hotel currently employs 150 people, while the Shovot-Qumqurgon farm has begun cultivating medicinal herbs. Marjona Textile, which placed third in the competition, provides permanent employment for 70 women. Last year, the company exported children’s clothing worth $200,000 to Russia.

Participants emphasized the importance of projects such as “Businesswoman” in supporting women’s entrepreneurial potential, creating new jobs, promoting localization, and fostering business development.
