Meetings of the parliamentary factions of political parties in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis were held, where several draft laws planned to be included in the agenda of the upcoming session of the lower house were thoroughly reviewed.

At the first meeting of the Development Bloc, established between the factions of the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businesspeople – Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan and the Democratic Party “Milliy Tiklanish”, the report of the Accounts Chamber on its activities in 2024 was initially considered.

It was noted that the Accounts Chamber has been carrying out its activities in accordance with the requirements and key principles of the Law “On the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan”. In this process, the chamber has shifted its operations from the previous principles of financial inspection toward audits based on international standards, thereby reforming itself into a professional auditing body that provides expert opinions and assessments for the state.

After reviewing the report in detail, deputies raised questions of interest to them. In particular, Bekmirza Eshmurzayev, a member of the “Milliy Tiklanish” Democratic Party faction, raised an issue related to higher education, based on the party’s ideas.

The deputy inquired what specific measures the ministry plans to implement to address these issues.

After relevant answers were provided to this and other questions, the matter concerning the activities of the Accounts Chamber in 2024 was endorsed.

Subsequently, the draft laws included on the agenda were also thoroughly discussed.
