The UzLiDeP delegation participated in an international symposium in Moscow
The delegation of the Executive Committee of the Political Council of UzLiDeP took part in the international symposium in Moscow titled “The significance of the victory over Nazism. Lessons from the formation of the United Nations.”
The event, organized under the auspices of the United Russia political party and attended by representatives of 29 countries, focused on the importance of the victory over fascism in the Second World War, as well as the reasons behind the establishment of the United Nations and the factors that contributed to its creation. Discussions also centered on the role of the organization throughout its history and today, as well as the prospects for reforming it in line with contemporary global challenges.
Uzbekistan has its own clear position regarding the role of the United Nations in today’s global politics. Moreover, the country’s cooperation with this prestigious international organization has now reached an entirely new dimension. This is evidenced by the fact that the number of joint projects implemented with the UN has reached nearly 140, and more than ten special resolutions initiated by Uzbekistan have been adopted by the UN General Assembly, along with many other examples.
At the international symposium, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Political Council of UzLiDeP B. Yakubov delivered a speech.
In addition, during their stay in Moscow at the initiative of the General Council of the United Russia party, the Uzbekistan delegation held a meeting with the Secretary of the General Council of this party, V.V. Yakushev. The parties discussed issues of cooperation between the leading political parties of the two countries.
