UzLiDeP deputies discuss proposals to ensure food security and develop tourism infrastructure

At a regular meeting of the UzLiDeP deputy group in the Namangan Regional Council of People’s Deputies, issues related to maintaining price stability in the domestic market, ensuring an uninterrupted supply of food products to the population, and preparing for the autumn-winter season were discussed.

The meeting featured a report by Lutfillo Boltaboyev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Namangan Regional Association of Markets and Shopping Complexes. Suggestions included increasing product reserves, expanding subsidized fairs, and enhancing the logistics system.

The second agenda item focused on enhancing the tourism potential of Namangan region. Bekzod Abdullayev, Deputy Head of the Namangan Regional Tourism Department, presented a report on ongoing work in the sector. During the discussions, important proposals were made to train internationally certified guides, teach foreign languages, ensure tourist safety, develop inclusive infrastructure, and make currency exchange services more transparent.

Following the meeting, relevant organizations were assigned specific tasks and practical recommendations within the framework of parliamentary oversight of the issues discussed. It was noted that ensuring food security and consistently developing tourism infrastructure are crucial to improving public well-being, strengthening economic stability, and increasing the region’s appeal to investment and tourism.
