Interparty cooperation enters a new stage
On September 7, 2026, a meeting was held at the Executive Committee of the Political Council of the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan with a delegation led by Liu Haixing, Head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
The talks focused on the current state and prospects of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China, as well as on further expansion of inter-party cooperation between UzLiDeP and the Communist Party of China.
Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of interparty cooperation as an integral component of strategic interstate relations. It was noted that the Memorandum of Cooperation signed last year between UzLiDeP and the Communist Party of China had created an important legal and political foundation for developing interparty relations systematically and on a long-term basis.
The Memorandum provides broad opportunities for exchanging experience in areas such as party building, public engagement, establishing direct ties between regional organizations, work with young people and women, and cooperation between think tanks.
It was also noted that exchanging experiences on digital transformation, the use of artificial intelligence and digital platforms, and the introduction of new mechanisms for engaging with citizens is an important area of modern political parties’ activities. The sides also exchanged views on strengthening cooperation among party-affiliated media outlets and on implementing joint media and information projects.
During the talks, participants also paid particular attention to the China – Central Asia Political Parties Dialogue, recently held in Samarkand. It was emphasized that the forum serves as a platform for exchanging practical experience in party building, personnel training, digital transformation, work with young people and women, and developing ties between regions and public organizations.
The meeting was held in a constructive atmosphere. The parties expressed their readiness to enrich existing agreements with specific, practical projects, to continue regular inter-party dialogue, and to further expand the exchange of experience.
