Practical solutions identified for entrepreneurs and residents of Kanlikul

The work of deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, led by Aktam Khaitov, head of the UzLiDeP faction, to study the implementation of reforms in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and to analyze the problems faced by the population on site continued in Kanlikul district.

During the study, particular attention was paid to manufacturing enterprises, business entities, social services, agriculture, employment, and social protection. In particular, the activities of Kanteks Invest LLC, which specializes in producing yarn from 10,000 tons of cotton fiber per year, were reviewed, and the identified problems were examined. Measures were outlined to submit inquiries to the relevant agencies regarding these issues.

During meetings with entrepreneurs, the parties discussed expanding production, removing existing barriers, and using the opportunities created effectively. The issue of selling surplus electricity generated by the solar panels installed at Kanteks Invest LLC was also considered. At LAN-C LLC, the process for producing licorice extract and working conditions were reviewed, and an open dialogue was held with the workforce.

At the same time, the Inson Social Services Center’s activities were analyzed. Attention was paid to the fact that the center provides 132 types of social services to the population, as well as to issues related to their digitalization and targeted delivery.

The experience of the Yer Oltin Khazinam farm in Arzimbetqum rural community was also studied as part of efforts to develop high-income agricultural areas. Along with traditional crops, the farm grows uncommon fruit crops such as blackberries, goji berries, and raspberries, as well as medicinal plants and new tomato varieties.

In addition, a practical seminar on planting onions, garlic, and winter vegetable crops was held, with participation from farmers in Kanlikul, Shumanay, and Kungrad districts. Recommendations covered the efficient use of household plots, spacing between orchard rows, and field margins. These efforts aim to expand opportunities for efficient land use, diversify agricultural products, and create additional income sources.

Tangible results were also achieved in support of the population’s social and economic needs within the framework of the nationwide “Together with the People” program. In Kanlikul district, assistance was provided to secure permanent employment for six citizens, while seven families in need of social support received food products and essential household items totaling 14 million UZS. In addition, four citizens received equipment for self-employment, three were provided with hearing aids, two with wheelchairs, two with walking canes for persons with disabilities, and three citizens received vouchers for sanatorium treatment.
