Shirin holds city stage of Businesswoman 2026 competition

The Syrdarya Regional and Shirin City Councils of UzLiDeP organized the city stage of the Businesswoman 2026 competition.

Eight participants presented their business projects, handicrafts, and entrepreneurial achievements. Based on the results, Gulshoda Yusupova from the Vatanparvar mahalla took first place, Shahnoza Yakhyoyeva from the Bunyodkor mahalla came in second, and Nodira Mukhtorova from the Dustlik mahalla placed third.

The winner, Gulshoda Yusupova, has been working in decorative floristry for the past three years and currently employs 10 women. She is also training more than 20 girls in the craft through the traditional “Master-apprentice” mentorship system. She plans to increase employment to 50 and export her products to neighboring countries.

Following the competition, the winners received diplomas and commemorative gifts from the party. The event once again highlighted the importance of such initiatives in encouraging women’s interest in entrepreneurship and supporting their new ideas and initiatives.
