Private sector opportunities in healthcare to be expanded

UzLiDeP held a roundtable discussion on “Transformation of the healthcare system in Uzbekistan” in the Khorezm Regional Council conference hall as part of its nationwide program “Together with the People”.

The discussion focused on effectively using the potential of private healthcare, developing public-private partnerships, and introducing modern diagnostic and treatment methods.

Participants also proposed reducing bureaucratic barriers for private medical institutions, expanding access to modern medical equipment, and attracting qualified medical professionals.

The importance of creating more convenient conditions for the public through healthcare digitalization and the expansion of services such as electronic medical records, online queuing systems, and electronic appointment booking was emphasized.

Following the roundtable, participants developed practical proposals to expand access to high-quality, modern, and affordable healthcare services, strengthen disease prevention and early diagnosis systems, and make effective use of the private sector’s potential.
