The “1,000 Books in One Day” campaign held in Yangibazar
As part of UzLiDeP’s nationwide program “Together with the People”, an educational and cultural meeting was held at the Information and Resource Center in Yangibazar district as part of the “1,000 Books in One Day” campaign.
The event was attended by representatives of the Khorezm regional branch of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, party activists, deputies, women, and young people, who exchanged views on ongoing efforts in the country to develop a reading culture, enhance women’s intellectual potential, and strengthen spiritual education.
During the meeting, the library collection was enriched with works of fiction, scientific publications, and political and legal literature. The donated books will expand learning opportunities for women and young people and further increase their interest in reading.
At the event, special attention was also paid not only to promoting national literature and our spiritual heritage and to strengthening a sense of respect for national values in the hearts of the younger generation, but also to improving media literacy and addressing information attacks through solid knowledge and independent thinking.
