“Businesswoman” discovers new opportunities and new names

The “Businesswoman 2026” competition, held as part of UzLiDeP’s nationwide “Together with the People” program, continues across the regions.

The district stages of the competition were held in Pakhtakor, Zarbdor, and Dustlik districts of Jizzakh region, bringing together women entrepreneurs who had won the “Businesswoman of the Mahalla” project and presented their businesses, experiences, and new ideas.

What does this project offer women? First and foremost, it gives them an opportunity to showcase their businesses, exchange experiences, find new partners, and gain greater confidence in their abilities. Most importantly, the names of many enterprising women who contribute to their family incomes through their own work and create jobs for others in their mahallas are becoming known to the wider public.

In Dustlik district, Gulhayo Shokhimardonova, an entrepreneur representing the Bunyodkor mahalla, emerged as the winner. She heads Bunyodkor Tikuvchi Qizlari LLC, which manufactures garments and knitwear. Today, the enterprise provides permanent employment for 50 women in need of social support.

Gulhayo has a clear goal – to expand her operations, increase her workforce, and create additional jobs.

Therefore, “Businesswoman” is not merely a competition. It serves as a platform that empowers active women in mahallas, highlights their expertise, and creates new opportunities. We are confident that today’s winners will inspire many more women entrepreneurs to emerge in the future.
