01 Relevance
Raising young people’s social and political engagement and involving them in the governance of the state and society is one of today’s important tasks. At the same time, many young people still lack practical knowledge and skills in politics, legislation and public administration.
Young people’s active participation is decisive for strengthening democratic values, upholding the rule of law and building civic responsibility. There is a growing need to identify talented young people with leadership qualities, support them and train them systematically.
The “Young Politicians League” project is therefore highly relevant for building young people’s political knowledge and leadership skills, supporting their initiatives and creating a pool of qualified professionals for the future.
02 Project goal
To study and analyse the problems facing young people and put forward proposals to resolve them; to discover, through competition, talented and patriotic young people with leadership qualities and to train qualified professionals from among students who can contribute to the country’s development in public institutions; to raise young people’s social and political engagement, protect their interests and help create the conditions for them to realise their intellectual potential and take their rightful place in society, while building their leadership skills; to develop young people’s leadership abilities, encourage their attention to social issues, support their innovative ideas and initiatives and develop their creative potential; and to work to raise young people’s legal awareness and legal culture.
03 Objectives
- Running educational courses, seminars, forums and training sessions for young politicians and active young people; developing their skills in analysing political processes, making decisions and preparing to take part in public administration; promoting democratic values, the rule of law and public responsibility among young people; identifying young political leaders and supporting them in public and political life; setting up internships and practical programmes so that young people gain hands-on experience in public bodies and local councils; and channelling young people’s initiatives and proposals into improving public policy.
