Officials brief deputies on preparations for the autumn-winter season
As part of the nationwide “Together with the People” program, the UzLiDeP deputy group in the Syrdarya Regional Council of People’s Deputies held another public hearing. The meeting focused on preparations for the autumn-winter season, ensuring a stable supply of gas and electricity to residents, and work underway in relevant sectors across the region.
It was noted that preparations for the season included repairs to gas networks and gas distribution stations, as well as the creation of reserves of essential equipment, gas cylinders and emergency repair materials. In particular, 6,338 reinforced concrete utility poles were installed, and 230.3 kilometers of power lines were laid. In addition, 996.2 kilometers of power lines and 367 transformer substations underwent major repairs, while routine maintenance was carried out on 1,775 kilometers of power lines and 782 transformer substations.
Particular attention was also paid to improving the handling of public appeals. During the first nine months of this year, 97.8 percent of the 1,118 appeals received concerning electricity supply were successfully resolved. As a result of these measures, the number of appeals decreased by 22 percent compared with the same period last year.
Following the discussions, deputies recommended that responsible organizations ensure reliable, high-quality services for residents during the autumn-winter season, promptly address existing problems with electricity and gas supplies, and further improve the handling of public appeals.
