A working group led by Aktam Khaitov, head of the UzLiDeP faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, visited Ulugnor, Buston, Baliqchi, Buloqboshi, Khojaobod, and Shahrikhon districts of Andijan region to assess the effectiveness of ongoing socio-economic reforms and examine issues affecting residents and entrepreneurs.

The visits covered mahallas, households, manufacturing enterprises, farms, and social facilities, where working group members held direct discussions with residents, entrepreneurs, farmers, and officials. Particular attention was paid to creating new jobs in the private sector, making effective use of existing production capacity, introducing modern technologies in agriculture, and ensuring the rational use of water resources.

During the visits, several important infrastructure and social issues were identified. These included restarting operations at the Ulugnor Fayz Tekstil enterprise, which had suspended its activities, improving water supply to 683 hectares of farmland in Buloqboshi district, building a new electrical substation, and repairing roads in need of repair. The tasks also included building a new 960-seat school in Baliqchi district, reconstructing a preschool facility in Khojaobod, and providing necessary assistance to people in need of social support.

Mobile public receptions were also held in the districts. A total of 1,535 residents and 124 entrepreneurs and farmers participated, and 429 issues were identified. Of these, 298 were resolved on the spot, and legal advice and explanations were provided for 131 issues.

In addition, 136 citizens received various forms of practical assistance totaling 1.2078 billion UZS. The visits underscored the importance of fully utilizing the regions’ existing potential for economic and social development, while identifying, on the ground, problems that directly affect people’s lives and finding targeted solutions. The working group will continue to monitor the implementation of measures related to the issues raised and work with relevant organizations to address unresolved problems.
