At the meeting of the UzLiDeP faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, a number of draft laws aimed at improving the procedure for land use and creating favorable conditions for agricultural producers were discussed.

The deputies first considered the draft law "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Connection with the Further Improvement of the Procedure for Land Use" in its second reading.

As noted, this draft law introduces amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan, providing for the introduction of permitted types of land use.

The deputies emphasized that during the preparation of the draft law for the second reading, most of the proposals made by faction members were taken into account and reflected in the text of the draft. The draft law was approved.

The meeting also discussed the draft law "On Agricultural Risk Insurance," which sparked active discussions.

This draft law provides for the protection of agricultural producers from damages caused by various natural disasters and other risks, the establishment of a legal framework for state support of agricultural insurance, and the definition of the rights and obligations of participants in the agricultural risk insurance process.

In addition, to prevent losses for insurance companies, which are business entities, and to ensure compensation for potential damages to agricultural producers, it is proposed to establish an Agricultural Insurance Fund, fully digitize the agricultural insurance system, reinsure risks, broadly involve agricultural producers in insurance, and establish procedures for their financial support.

During the discussions, faction members Abdumannop Buriev, Firdavs Kurbanov, and others shared their opinions, suggestions, and recommendations on further improving the draft law and bringing it to a more finalized state, based on the party's goals and objectives. Several questions were raised regarding specific provisions, and the initiators of the draft law were asked to provide explanations.

The initiators assured that all proposals made by the deputies would be considered during the refinement of the draft law. They stated that the adoption of this draft law would introduce a crop insurance system in the country, creating favorable conditions for agricultural producers and regulating relevant legal relations for fulfilling insurance obligations.

Faction members, recognizing that this document will create a legal basis for compensating damages caused to agricultural crops due to risks and implementing agricultural risk insurance, expressed their support for it.

Other issues within the faction's competence were also considered at the meeting and approved by the deputies.
