A working group led by Aktam Khaitov, the head of the UzLiDeP faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, visited Forish district of Jizzakh region to study efforts aimed at reducing poverty and monitoring the progress of seasonal work in the agricultural sector.

Members of the working group visited several mahalla citizens’ assemblies (MCA) and households, as well as a specialized school, various business entities, and farming enterprises in the district.

The group assessed the state of initiatives focused on the effective utilization of household and private land plots, the development of entrepreneurship, the creation of new job opportunities, and efforts to reduce poverty in the region.

Additionally, the public was informed about the ongoing reforms in the country aimed at creating convenience for people, improving their quality of life, increasing real incomes, and further developing small businesses, private entrepreneurship, and farming. The essence of newly adopted laws was also communicated to the broader community.

During the open and sincere meetings with residents, mahalla activists, young people, and business representatives raised more than 10 pressing issues. Most of these concerns were resolved on the spot at the initiative of the faction leader, while those requiring more time were taken under supervision for further resolution.

In recent years, significant changes have taken place in the district’s healthcare sector, alongside developments in other fields. Currently, the region is served by a central hospital with 223 beds, 12 medical centers, one family polyclinic, two branches, and five newly established medical points, all ready to provide healthcare services to the population. During these meetings, Aktam Khaitov visited several medical institutions in the district to assess their operations, as well as the conditions and conveniences provided for patients.

The next destination for the working group was the Basalt Uzbekistan cluster, where they examined the working conditions created for employees. This enterprise, leading in the regional economy, currently employs 1,300 people.

Mr. Khaitov closely got familiar with the activities of the Basalt Uzbekistan cluster and provided insights into the ongoing efforts to develop entrepreneurial activities and comprehensively support business representatives.
