The population takes an active part in the process of collecting signatures
As is known, on July 27, at a meeting of the Political Council of UzLiDeP, a decision was made on the party’s active participation in the elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and regional, district, and city Councils of People’s Deputies.
Currently, the party is actively preparing for this political process. Of course, political parties’ participation in the election campaign includes certain processes. One of them is collecting signatures.
The other day, the Central Election Commission registered authorized representatives of political parties. They were given signature forms of the established sample for collecting voters’ signatures supporting the party’s participation in the elections.
Collecting signatures is the first step in winning the electorate’s and voters’ trust during the parties’ election campaigns.
The Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businesspeople – the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan has also begun collecting signatures of voters to participate in the upcoming elections.
The party is creating signature collection points in densely populated areas. This process is being carried out in an organized manner in approximately 15 thousand primary party organizations at places of work, service, study, residence, and other places where the collection of signatures is not prohibited by law.
According to the law, in one administrative-territorial entity (the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the region, the city of Tashkent), a political party can collect no more than eight percent of the total number of signatures, respectively.
