Head of Marjona Textile shares experience with women in Khonqa

An event was held in Khonqa district of Khorezm region as part of the “Businesswoman of Today” project under UzLiDeP’s nationwide “Together with the People” program. The initiative aims to encourage greater women’s participation in entrepreneurship, enhance their business knowledge and skills, and promote the experiences of successful women entrepreneurs.

The event highlighted the entrepreneurial activities of Dilafruz Bekchanova, head of the Marjona Textile joint venture LLC, who placed third in the regional-national round of the “Businesswoman 2026” competition.

Established just two years ago, the company specializes in manufacturing children’s clothing and currently produces 2,000 garments a day in modern production facilities. Its products are in high demand both domestically and internationally, with exports to Türkiye, Russia, and other CIS markets. This year alone, the company has exported children’s clothing worth 1 billion UZS to Russia. The company provides permanent employment for more than 50 women, 20 percent of whom have disabilities.

During the event, the head of Marjona Textile spoke about her experience establishing production operations, entering new markets, expanding export potential, and creating job opportunities for women. The party’s initiative was noted for encouraging greater participation of women in business and showcasing the achievements of successful women entrepreneurs in their respective fields.
