At the Eighth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, held in Turkmenistan, the President of Uzbekistan proposed key initiatives to elevate regional cooperation to a new level. The Head of State emphasized that cooperation in Central Asia, grounded in friendship, good-neighborliness and mutual trust, continues to strengthen.

Particular attention focused on deepening economic cooperation. Proposals included boosting mutual trade and investment, developing joint industrial and technological value chains, and creating shared digital services and investment mechanisms. The “Six Economies – One Product” formula was proposed to combine the countries’ capabilities to jointly produce finished goods.

The need for a new approach to transportation and logistics was also highlighted. It was proposed to establish manufacturing enterprises, logistics centers, and service facilities along new transportation corridors, creating new hubs of economic activity across the region. Joint projects in energy, green development, the rational use of water resources, and environmental sustainability were also identified as key priorities.

Modern technologies and human capital were also highlighted as priority areas for the region’s future development. Proposals included establishing a shared computing infrastructure based on artificial intelligence and big data, as well as developing a regional atlas to identify professions and skills in high demand. This would help align education and vocational training with the economy’s actual needs.

Overall, the initiatives put forward at the summit aim to transform Central Asia into a peaceful, secure, economically strong, and interconnected region. Most importantly, cooperation is no longer limited to trade but now encompasses strategic areas such as joint production, technology, transportation, energy, environmental protection, and workforce development. This approach will help improve the well-being of the region’s people and create favorable conditions for future generations.
