Based on the direction of its activities, the Liberal-Democratic Party of Uzbekistan is promoting significant initiatives in this year’s election program. In particular, it aims to increase the volume of GDP to $160 billion and GDP per capita to $4 thousand.

It is known that the GDP is the final indicator of production, which represents the development of the economy as a whole.

According to statistics, Uzbekistan’s GDP in 2023 was equal to 1,134.02 trillion UZS at current prices or $96.6 billion at the average exchange rate.

At the same time, the International Monetary Fund has recognized that in 2023, our gross domestic product will exceed $100 billion for the first time.

In 2023, agriculture’s share of GDP was 21.6 percent, or $20.9 billion, industry’s share was 32.2 percent, or $31.1 billion, and the service sector’s share was 46.2 percent, or $44.6 billion.

The Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy sets the goal of doubling the country’s gross domestic product by 2030 compared to 2022, that is, bringing it to $160 billion, increasing the per capita share to $4,000, and making Uzbekistan one of the above-average countries in terms of economic indicators.

At this point, the question arises: What guarantees exist for reaching the goal of $160 billion? Which sectors account for the added value? What are the reasons for this?

The analysis forecasts that by 2030, $45 billion will be allocated to industry, $30 billion to agriculture, and $85 billion to the service sector, bringing the total GDP to $160 billion.

Uzbekistan is one of the countries whose GDP per capita has been growing steadily in the last five years.

In conclusion, it can be noted that by 2030, there are all possibilities to increase the gross domestic product of Uzbekistan to $160 billion.
