At the initiative of the UzLiDeP faction, a public hearing dedicated to the development of the private sector in healthcare was held at the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Members of the faction, representatives of local authorities, and the public took part in the meeting, during which the sector’s development and existing problems were discussed.

The number of private medical institutions increased from 235 in 2020 to 378 by 2025. New clinics have been launched, 114 new jobs have been created, and all clinics are being equipped with modern MRI, ultrasound, and other high-technology medical equipment. At the same time, free medical services are being provided for persons with disabilities and low-income families, and free medical examinations are organized during the month of Ramadan.

Within the framework of cooperation between the private sector and the state, the State Medical Insurance system has been introduced, creating the opportunity to provide the population with free services within a guaranteed package. In 2025, the insurance fund is expected to allocate 1,979.7 billion UZS, and in 2026, this figure is expected to reach 2,260.3 billion UZS. In addition, foreign investments and grants have been attracted, enabling the construction of new medical institutions and the supply of modern equipment.

During the public hearing, sector-related problems were discussed, proposals were put forward, and an agreement was reached to study them. The UzLiDeP faction will maintain constant oversight of issues related to strengthening cooperation between the state and the private sector in healthcare, creating favorable conditions for entrepreneurs, and improving the quality of medical services.
