Executors who act without consideration
A post was published on social networks featuring the appeal of Zamira Rahmonova, co-founder of the “Testo” restaurant chain, on Sodiq Azimov Street in Tashkent. In her appeal, the entrepreneur reported that her enterprise had been disconnected from the power supply, causing her significant financial losses. She also called on the responsible authorities to adopt a systematic approach, engage in open dialogue, and show mutual respect.
Following the appeal, representatives of UzLiDeP met with the entrepreneur. Abdumannob Buriyev, a deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, visited the site to study the issue.
During the review, the entrepreneur emphasized the need for construction and repair works on Tourism Street to be coordinated with local entrepreneurs.
“The facade recommended by the hokimiyat does not suit us”, said the entrepreneur. “We wanted to design our restaurant in a style that fits us. As a result, our enterprise was disconnected from the electricity supply. Since we had no one to support us, we had to appeal through social networks”.
The UzLiDeP deputy stated that behind the entrepreneur stands the President, and UzLiDeP is always ready to provide support. He also emphasized that there are still executors who “take drastic measures without consideration”.
After that, Mr. Buriyev inquired about the number of losses the restaurant had suffered during the period it was cut off from electricity.
“Not only we, but also the neighboring enterprises suffered losses from the power outage”, said Ms. Rahmonova. “However, we did not file an official act to record the damages. We did not want to create another major problem for ourselves. After all, 70 people work in this restaurant. If our brand shuts down, the lives of 70 people could be disrupted. That is why we rejected the suggestions made by lawyers. Because to institutions like the power supply company, we are just small people”.
Our deputy noted that if entrepreneurs continue to fear voicing their concerns, problems will never be resolved, and to solve them, one must act without fear.
Following the meeting, Deputy Mr. Buriyev stated that there was absolutely no need for concern, that such individuals would certainly be held accountable before the law, and that he would take this matter under his control. The deputy promised, “If you take the power supply company to court, I will stand by your side and defend you”.
