At the meeting of the UzLiDeP faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the importance of the video conference chaired by the President on April 9 this year, dedicated to discussing the development of regional tourism potential and accelerating foreign investment projects, was thoroughly reviewed.

It was noted that the Head of State had set specific tasks for further developing the sector and increasing the flow of tourists. Instructions were given to make use of existing opportunities to attract tourists from promising markets and to establish direct air routes.

It was also noted that a National Tourism Unified Platform is being developed, which will integrate electronic visa issuance and ticket purchasing processes, as well as introduce a “single tourist card” providing access to all historical monuments.

Faction member Khushvaqt Khaitov, commenting on the tasks set at the meeting, emphasized that turning tourism into a highly profitable sector requires uniting and strengthening the efforts of all participants in both the public and private sectors, which fully aligns with the goals and ideas of UzLiDeP.

It was stressed that the priority tasks defined at the video conference place great responsibility on the party and its faction in the Legislative Chamber, requiring all deputies to take an active role in their implementation and to improve the legal framework of the sector.

After that, the deputies reviewed the draft law “On introducing amendments and addenda to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with regulating relations arising from the use of artificial intelligence”.

During the discussions, UzLiDeP faction member Zafar Khudoyberdiyev spoke about the importance of the draft law, expressing his views and proposals on specific provisions contained in it. The initiators of the draft law acknowledged the validity of the opinions expressed and stated that they would be taken into account in the process of finalizing the draft.

The adoption of the draft law will help further develop the use of artificial intelligence, create conditions for its introduction into various sectors, regulate by law the relations arising from its application, and prevent the unlawful processing and dissemination of personal data through the use of artificial intelligence.

Following extensive discussions, the draft law was supported by the deputies.
