A roundtable discussion on the “Transformation of the healthcare system in Uzbekistan” was held as part of the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan’s nationwide “Together with the People” program.

The event was attended by deputies, industry specialists, heads of private medical institutions, and representatives of the public, who discussed priority areas for reform in the healthcare sector.

The participants paid special attention to the significance of the Presidential Decree of May 5, 2026, which aims to support private healthcare. In accordance with the document, tasks have been set to increase the private sector’s share of the medical services market to 30 percent by 2030, expand public-private partnerships, and establish modern, high-tech medical centers in the regions.

It was also noted that the allocation of a $200 million preferential credit line for sector development, as well as up to $10 million in financial support for establishing new clinics in remote areas, will improve the quality of medical services for the population.

The participants also recognized the results of UzLiDeP’s “Towards Health” campaign. As part of the project, more than 20,000 citizens underwent free medical examinations, and thousands received referrals and treatment recommendations. The participants in the event developed proposals to expand access to high-quality, modern, and affordable medical services for the population.
