42 vacancies at the Tuprakkala district medical association: Deputies concerned about staff shortages
A regular meeting of the UzLiDeP deputy group in the Khorezm Regional Council of People’s Deputies was held. At the meeting, the report of the Khorezm regional branch of the Institute of Health and Strategic Development under the regional health department was heard.
It was noted that there are 42 vacant positions at the Tuprakkala district medical association, and that this situation is significantly affecting the quality of medical services provided to the population.
“There are 42 vacant positions at the Tuprakkala district medical association”, said Gulnora Matmuratova, deputy of the Khorezm Regional Council of People’s Deputies. “We presented our proposals and recommendations to the responsible official of the health department regarding the recruitment of qualified specialists for the vacant positions, the creation of decent conditions for medical workers, and the improvement of the staffing system”.
The responsible official of the department emphasized that several measures are currently being taken to address the issue. In particular, proposals are being prepared to improve housing conditions to attract graduates of higher and secondary medical education institutions to employment.
