The “Enterprising Woman of the Mahalla” project, initiated by UzLiDeP, supports active, initiative-driven women in local communities. Within the framework of the initiative of the “Women’s Wing” of the Khorezm Regional Council, meetings were held with entrepreneurial women in “Navbahor” and “Ma’rifat” mahallas of Urgench city, and their achievements and plans were closely studied.

Entrepreneur Guzaloy Rahimova from “Navbahor” mahalla is engaged in sewing embroidered fabrics with floral patterns in a national style using Chinese technologies, and within a short period has created permanent jobs for 10 young people. She exports her products not only to the domestic market but also to Türkiye and Kazakhstan, and plans to enter the Russian market this year.

Muhabbat Sadullayeva from the “Ma’rifat” mahalla has been effectively engaged in the sewing and tailoring sector, producing items such as quilts and pillows, and has trained more than a thousand apprentices. Among her trainees are young people who are now working independently, many of whom are also creating new jobs. According to the competition results, both entrepreneurs qualified for the city stage as the most active women.
