Today, 137 candidates nominated by the UzLiDeP to participate in the Youth Parliament elections are undergoing evaluation at the Executive Committee of the Political Council of the party.

It should be noted that the Youth Parliament, established to hear the voices of young people, support their initiatives, and actively involve them in political processes, is generating significant interest among our youth.

On March 6, 2025, at the expanded meeting of the Executive Committee of the Political Council of UzLiDeP and its faction in the Legislative Chamber, the Regulation determining the procedure for holding elections to the Youth Parliament was approved. According to this document, young people across the country were given the opportunity to have their voices heard in parliament. The first stage of the process took place from March 20 to April 2. In this short period, a total of 5,482 young people submitted applications for parliamentary membership. At the second stage of selection, the documents of 1,250 of the most talented and active youth were accepted. They demonstrated their potential during the regional stages organized in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the regions, and the city of Tashkent from April 12 to 21.

The evaluation process of the regional stage was conducted by a panel of judges consisting of party representatives, deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, local councils, politicians, and scholars. Each candidate was assessed on a 100-point scale based on criteria such as political and legal knowledge, awareness of the party’s history and tasks, election project proposals, and legislative initiatives concerning youth. According to the results, 137 candidates with the highest scores earned the right to participate in the Republican stage.

At the Republican stage of the selection, the most deserving candidates from the regions are taking part. They are showcasing their talents by developing proposals to improve legislative acts related to the protection of youth rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests, as well as preparing initiatives aimed at addressing urgent issues of lawmaking and law enforcement practices through youth participation.
