01 Relevance
Strengthening the work of the party’s primary party organisations (PPOs) and raising their role in society has become particularly important. Some PPOs still fall short on initiative, outreach to the public and promotion of the party’s ideas. Identifying, rewarding and showcasing the most active PPOs therefore raises the effectiveness of the whole system.
02 Project goal
To strengthen the role of the party’s grassroots level — its primary party organisations (PPOs) — to make their work more effective and to reinforce the party’s standing among citizens and entrepreneurs. To raise the effectiveness of the whole system by rewarding active and exemplary PPOs and sharing their experience.
03 Objectives
- Systematic assessment of PPO activity.
- Identifying active PPOs and keeping a ranking.
- Sharing best practice.
- Increasing the participation of party members.
- Stepping up the involvement of young people and women.
- Making public outreach more active.
- Preparing proposals for analysing and developing PPO activity.
- Continuously rewarding primary party organisations that set a particular example in pursuing the party’s programme goals, in studying people’s problems and solving them through deputy groups, in promoting locally the tasks set by the party Charter and Programme, and in ensuring that the goals set by the decisions and orders of the party’s governing bodies are met; publicising the PPOs’ part in this work.
04 Main formats
- Recruiting new party members and growing the number of the party’s supporters;
- Making primary party organisations in districts and cities more effective, improving their quality, increasing the number of model organisations and sharing their working experience;
- Establishing cooperation between PPOs and the party’s elected deputies at every level;
- Systematically adding PPO chairs and party activists who have shown particular dedication in promoting the Charter and Programme locally, and who enjoy great respect among the public, to the party’s talent pool;
- Raising the activity of primary party organisations in promoting the party’s ideas and programmes;
- Holding seminars and training sessions for the leaders of active PPOs to build their political knowledge and organisational skills.
05 Expected results
PPOs will become more active, dialogue with the public and entrepreneurs will become more effective, and local problems will be solved quickly. The experience of active PPOs will spread and set an example for other organisations. The party’s standing, trust in it and its influence among the people will grow; political engagement, initiative and healthy competition will strengthen, and the party’s organisational capacity will be reinforced.
