Lowering poverty levels and boosting household incomes – a key focus of deputies’ efforts
During a videoconference chaired by the Head of State, key tasks were outlined to reduce poverty, ensure employment, and increase household incomes. These objectives align with the practical efforts underway under UzLiDeP’s nationwide “Together with the People” program.
A mobile reception recently held in the Regi Haydar mahalla of Qorakul district also served these goals. At the Public Health Technical School named after Ibn Sino, Komiljon Ruziyev, a deputy of the Regional Council of People’s Deputies, organized an open dialogue with voters and young people. Nearly 100 residents from 11 mahallas within the 45-Sayyot electoral constituency took part and raised issues related to obtaining concessional credit and loans, acquiring vocational skills, ensuring youth employment, and expanding sources of family income.
During the dialogue, practical solutions were provided for appeals to increase household incomes and expand self-employment opportunities. In particular, Nilufar Ergasheva and Sherzamon Badriddinov from Ziyorat mahalla, as well as Shahnoza Huddiyeva from Kulolchi mahalla, applied for concessional loans, while Sojida Pochchayeva requested assistance in obtaining a loan. Responsible officials considered these issues, and the citizens’ appeals were resolved positively during the dialogue. In addition, Sanobar Shamsiyeva, a resident of the Eski Qala mahalla included in the Social Registry, was supported in her wish to attend six-month training courses in speech therapy and psychology. The course fees were covered, and her family was placed under patronage.
Particular attention during the dialogue was paid to starting businesses, acquiring vocational skills, and training young people in skills that meet labor market requirements.
